Hey Jim, We drive by the Marina everyday, and it appears that whole section of the Marina is going to be in the "under construction" phase for quite some time. The entrance nearest the caboose is for construction access only and the other entrance can take you only as far as we went a few weeks ago with the WhereIgo cache until you hit the construction fence. I'll keep my eyes on it for you though.

Thanks sAz:

I can now add a note to the cache saying that the construction is still on.  That will keep CacheDrone happy.  He wants an update periodically - every 3-4 weeks.

I just had to post the 1800th post.   Looks like I beat H-K by 20 seconds for the 1800th

Has anyone driven by the caboose lately?

Is the area still blocked off for construction?

Thanks
Jim

Still blocked off and yes that wretched hideous disgusting excuse for a cache holder is still there.
If you don't like the way I drive....Stay off the sidewalk.

Unfortunately, it's still not accessible. That entry is off limits for the public. :(

Thanks for the updates on this cache.  I will check it out next weekend when we are in hte big city for the event.  If it is assessable, I will grab new coordinates.

I checked on the cache when I was in Thunder Bay on February 17.

The area is still "Out of Bounds" due to construction, so the cache will remain dis-abled.

I am guessing this cache will be out of commission for quite a while Jim....

I heard something on the radio the other night that made it sound like that area will be off limits most of the summer. They were talking about how it was going to affect the people who dock their boats there.

Thanks for the information

As long as I live a note on the geocache write-up on a monthly basis, the reviewer will have no problem keeping it disabled

I had one cache in Marathon that was dis-abled for all of last summer due to road construction.  In fact the road construction ended up making the cache harder to get to, so I increase the Terrain Rating to reflect that.  They were cutting back the rock cut east of the junction into Marathon to put a passing lane in.

Could someone please give me an update on the construction at the marina?  So I can make another note for the disabled CN78175 cache?  Thanks

H-K has reported that I could Enable this cache again with the construction more or less complete

So after being dis-able for over two years (since 10/29/2009) the cache ready to be found.

Hint: it was put in the some location as before - for you that was at the WWFM Event a couple of years ago - you know where it was hidden.

Remember the hint - "you can see more with your fingers that you can with your eyes".  And please return the cache container to the original hiding spot

Thanks
