Blackberry + rain = a bad situation
« on: July 20, 2010, 06:36:15 PM »
We were using the blackberry yesterday while doing the new caches trying to get hints and it stated to drizzle. The phone got wet, but no problem then it shut off never to turn on again. Today it turned on by itself, but the keys won't work. :'( :'( It is now at the hospital. We hope it will be good news, but they said the white strip inside is red, indicating water damage. Meaning it is basically junk. What stupid electronic device cannot work in the rain :o ::)
If you don't like the way I drive....Stay off the sidewalk.

Animals taste good.

Learn how to use a compass. Gps is fine until it does not work, and it sucks to have to eat your friends to live.

Well finally some good news. They backed up all the info, reinstalled the operating system, and updated all the software. And for free!!! Seems to be working fine. I honestly believed we were going to have to purchase a new one. Still cannot believe electronics and water don't mix, and only a few drops!!! Won't be doing that again.

.... baggies aren't just for cache contents ....
... if we can't find it, it's cause they didn't hide it properly !!!
