NWOG 2010 Geocoin/Tags Race

As Chris stated on the chat board, we will be having a "kick-off" event at some point in June. For obvious reasons this will be well after the official start of the race, but don't worry you are more than welcome to send out your trackables before the event.

I've added a poll to the top of this to get a sense of what night works best for a quick gathering. For those who have never attending one of these small get togethers, they are a lot of fun. We pass around new swag we've aquired, talk about upcoming caching plans and play the fun game of guess the number of beers Hunter will have!

You will notice that I've left off Wednesday and Sunday nights. That's because I'm not around any Wednesday night and Sunday is typically not a good night to be going to a pub.

So really I'm hoping on of the other 5 nights of the week works for the majority of people.

I really mean it this time....last call for anyone interested in a laminated tag (for a TB), email me by Friday with your cachename for the front of the tag and any message for the back  (use the font/format you want to see and I will just copy and paste).  I will print/ laminate them Satuday for Sunday/ Monday pick up.

Once again we are working on a tie here so if you really, truly want a specific day make sure to vote up! I'll be leaving the poll up for another few days at which, time if we still have a  tie, I will make a judgement call!

I've submitted an event for Friday June 18th, 2010 at 7PM.

I'll post more details as soon as it passes review. Right now I'm just waiting because there appears to be some issues with the date field on GC.com and the reviewer is working with groundspeak to see what's happening.

The event is up! There was a slight issue in posting as apparently I stumbled across an issue with the dates and groundspeak has to fix it.

So here's the details:

GC29NEH - NWOG's Good-bye Spring, Hello Summer Pub Night

Basically the event is for the coin race, but GC.com frowns on people posting events for such a reason. That being said its perfectly fine for anyone to show up! Location is the Neebing Roadhouse and it starts at 7PM. I've been told the food is good there. For those in the coin/tag race please remember to bring your entrance fee of $5, well that is if you haven't paid yet.

The event will go till people get tired of each other.

For anyone interested I'm considering doing the Kamview series of caches after the event. Bring a flashlight in case we are out past dark .
