If we didn't know any better, we'd swear you were trying to avoid us ragbag

The
NWOG Adopt a Highway CITO: Spring 2010
is this Wed June 9, 2010 from 6pm to 8pm. The carpool (meeting place) is the Landmark and the clean up will occur just north of Pearl.
The GC# is
GC296T3
.
There weren't too many will attend posted for this CITO. Hope to see more of you out there. I see rain is in the forecast; unless it is a downpour I plan to go ahead with the clean up. I will keep checking the weather.
There are several prizes (gift certificates) that will be awarded at the CITO; so come on out.

Still hoping to see some more geocachers show up to our Hwy CITO. It's only a couple of hours of your time. We meet at the Landmark Inn and then carpool up to the site.
Prizes to be drawn for are two KBM gift certificates and one Landsharkz.com gift cerificate.
(bring a raincoat, it might be wet)

Got 15 more pins for your Son (Thunderbird) . Slim Pickings the last few trips Chris. We will bring them out on Wednesday. Lots of members, and only a few hours of your time. Come on cachers, the more there are the less time it will take.

I will likely be there, just can't confirm right now. What time do you figure you'll be at the CITO site? (For those of us not in Thunder Bay)

For those east of Thunder Bay, we should be at the CITO site just after 6:30pm.

See you CITO cachers at the Landmark Inn before 6pm. Bring your GPSr as I am sure you will want to stop and do the
Petroleum Tango
and the
Trash Cache
.
I have reflective vests, garbage bags and some spare gloves.
It looks like we might even see the sun
this evening.

Looking forward to it Chris. Here's hoping there's room in someone's carpool for me!

That was fun, and a whole lot less work than the first one. Got to meet Kescon (Mr. & Mrs.) from Sioux Lookout who were in town and managed to make the cleanup which was nice and BP76MR that drove all the way from Nipigon !!!
Good to meet you, and of course the local Tbay cachers, who we always enjoy seeing, Good times, and we will meet again in a couple weeks at yet another fun event. Thanks Chris.

It did go fast with all the help we had (not to mention the work we did last fall). I still did count 18 garbage bags along with other junk. I'm glad to report that everyone who attended (and stayed to the end) walked away with a door prize. It always seems to work out.
Considering the long drive to the site, I am thinking about changing to the clean-up to one day a year (probably the spring). I know that Lakehead U does this. What are your thoughts?
Thanks again to everyone who came out to this event.

Having two events for cleanup each year is great for giving everyone a chance to come help out. If someone can't make the first cleanup they still have a chance to make the second one.
But at the same time I can see how its harder on those who do show up for both and for you Chris with all the orginizing.
I dunno, that's a hard one.
