Thunder Bay Top Caches

So, I chat from time to time with the cachers of the MBGA, and next month a couple of them are going to be passing through Thunder Bay on their way to (and back from) the megaevent in Quebec. They're always kind to recommend the best of the best in Winnipeg for my trips there, and asked if I would recommend a few for them.

I'd like to compile a list of ten or twelve of the best caches in Thunder Bay, and I'd like your help. If you'd like to suggest two or three caches that are exemplary in their hiding method or location, let me know.

Maybe later on we can do this for other areas in NWO too.

I'll start out with a few of my favourites:

• snuggle
• Deer oh Deer
• Breath Easy (And not just because it's my in-law's)

The silver harbor conservation area caches were fun and promoted a nice scenic view. Nice place. And not being bias but it is our back yard, all the caches on the Island, NWO Bears a song in the air still amazes me . No one suspects it to be other than * **** *****.

I  felt that Con College #3, That's Nuts and Semiotics stood out as exemplary caches.  They may not be the most difficult but they are fun.

We like Down at the Bluffs, Pearl Webfoot, and Forest Walk #2 & #3 (I think it's a really cool forest area).

we should keep this list going for all the new and starting out geocachers in our area, a list of great caches to get them hooked and wanting more, caches with lots of tradable items and unique and interesting hiding places.

seeing how im one of these people ^ im going to have to go looking for the caches listed on this list
keep working on the list and maybe even eventually can get it listed with the city as some of the great places of thunder bay, just saying could be worth the time put into the list

I hate to toot my our horn but my cache, "A True Riddle" GC1Q3TN
is an unique puzzle cache and has not had much traffic since its relocation to Kakabeka Falls.  Stop by and give it a try.

All four of those caches are excellent suggestions. We did a cache of the year awards last year. Maybe this year we can do something to try to produce a list of the top ten caches from 2010 or something.

im going to have to give all of these a try

might have to take my dad ( surprise me) on some of these though seing how hes the one with the GPS and all i have is my blackberry (for now) looking to get an oregon 450 but i think fixing my trucks tranny comes first, lol thanks for the addition of the caches, they look neat and im excited to give them a try

i think when i get off work im going to try and go find "follow the Signs" GC1PYGW at the university, just a short walk across the streat from work (hospital)

I still think that CN 78175 caches has the highest rating for DNF's!   Does that count?
 
Is the construction still going on at Marina Park?

If so, it is about time to put another note on the log for this cache.

I was just by it about an hour ago Jim and it was still cornered off.. The construction is slated to continue all summer.
