I have 4 temp caches (not on geocaching.com) set up for demo puposes.

I am still  ::) looking for a list of volunteers ::) to act as a guide to any muggles that want to try geocaching (before buying a GPSr).   I have decided that these 4 cache will need to be found in order to put a ballot in for a geocaching themed prize.  There will be a separate ballot for non-geocaching prizes.

Draws will be held at the event of the CITO event (approx. 3:30pm).

I can help out as a "guide"

I've also scored us an article in the newspaper - ChrisDom do  you want to take the interview since you are organizing the CITO??  If so please e-mail me to confirm.

I thought it would be a good way to get more people in Thunder Bay into wanting to learn about geocaching, as well as help in the cleanup.

Thanks Mech, I'd like Shroom to take the interview; but if he can't I will step up.

You know I'm up for being a "guide" or pretty much doing anything else you want. Only deal is I will be a little late getting there since church usually ends at 11:30.

Ecosuperior let me know that the Alpine Club (climbers) do an annual clean up at the bluffs; I have sent them an email to invite them to our event.

Frank Pianka responded to the email and said that there clean up is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 and it's got to be near their twentieth year. The Alpine Club tend to concentrate on the trails along the top and bottom of the cliffs, areas popular for rock climbing.

Chris asked me to do some up. If I post some tomorrow can someone post them to the CBBs around Current River?

Okay, here's a poster for you to print out and post around town. Everyone is welcome to (and it would be a BIG help if you actually did) post these. Stick them up at the grocery store and on those Community Bulletin Boards around town. Especially if you can put some up in Current River or Port Arthur around the Bluffs, that would be great.

The city parks will be dropping a trailer at the site on Sunday morning for us to load with garbage; any extra garbage will be placed in a separate pile and they will return for it.

Is there any special equipment that needs to be brought?

e.g. 2-wheel dolly for the heavy items

Suggestions were made that an ATV with a trailer would be useful.  The parks trailer will be parked at the lower level parking to be filled.  I think wheel barrows could be handy.

Any one have a quad and small trailer?  If not I can ask around the RV places or friends next week for a "donation" of a rental for a day...
