You guys better hurry for Scott lake . The reviewer posted a "Not found in 6 months" Notice. The purge begins.  Heck alot of caches are not available from November to the end of May. This is Northern Ontario !!

Very cool list! I would be up for doing all of the above.

Nice that most of them are marked as winter friendly as well.

I emailed GOTP today to see if he wants to come along with us if we do these caches. So, what do you say Chris? Are you in? Tom? Jim? Bob? Dave? Marc? Greg? Bill? Win? ;)

I'm interested

Do we also want to look at the ones further on - I think it was Northern Lights Lake caches?

Still looking at Feb. 28?

Just some info for you Jim and others thinking about adding the NLL caches to your list. The Northern Lights Lake caches are accessed from private property. When we did the mainland cache while out hunting, the others were in place but not published. The Island caches got published in December after we found mainland cache and it was noted the Island caches are Not winter friendly so that was a duh hello moment for us.  Publish non winter friendly caches in the winter.  This resort and campground is owned by Red Pine Canoe Outfitters and it was gated. So an e-mail to the cache owners would be suggested to see if the road in, and the property are maintained and plowed. It's a long drive/walk if the road is not plowed from hwy. 588. The cache owners seem to cache in the Sudbury area.

Thanks for the update H-K.

I agree with you, we should not look at there caches on things that you know.  It was an idea to try since we would be in this area anyway.

That weekend is not good for me at all,  I am helping to teach an outdoor survival course then.  The following weekend we are spending in a lean-to in the bush as well.  Would love to come along, though.

Well, let's do it. Shall I set up the event cache? I'm thinking we'll have a better chance of getting coffee at the Metropolitan Moose in Kakabeka, so let's meet there a little earlier. Sound good?

Event posting is almost ready to go. All I need is coordinates for the Moose and we're good.

The event is posted! Woohoo!!

Now for the full event details:

- Post up if you are attending so we know who to keep an eye out for.
- Make sure to be at the coffee shop as close to 12:30pm as possible. (We want to ensure we have lots of daylight for caching.)
- We will grab a quick coffee, chat it up, show off your geo-wares till around 1pm at the latest before we make the move out to Whitefish Lake.
- Make sure to dress appropriately as we will be spending a fair bit of time hiking around outside.
- We will cache till people are tired of it, or we run out of time. As Shroom pointed out I think we have will have sunlight till around 6:30pm.

Hope to see everyone out there!

The road is usually keep open to Red Pine, I believe there is a year round resident.  I'll talk to the owner (who keeps the road open) for permission to cross his land and see if he might open a spot to park off the Trout Bay road.  Whats the game plan?  The caches posted by sAz or the new ones at Northern Lights?  Seems like alot of caches for the time alloted.

Well since I need pretty much everything out there I really don't care too much which ones we go for. I'm game either way.
We can set up a vote if people want and see what comes out on top. I can't see us having enough time to complete everything so we should pick the priorities.
