SCC 2010 When?
« on: January 11, 2010, 01:13:42 PM »
I know this seems a tad bit early to begin planning the SCC10.  The WWFM VII (World Wide Flash Mob 7) date was just announced for Saturday May 15.  It worked well having this event tie in with the SCC09; so I thought I would suggest that we do the same this year.
(I will be busy with CITO events this year so if Jim or someone else want to organize the WWFM, go ahead).

I think I will be able to take care of this - just need to find a location - maybe at the Pagoda on Red River Road - we can talk about it at the event on Jan 16 or the events on Jan23

Maybe Revenge of the Caboose 2
or Revenge of the Evil Micro in a Pine Tree
or ??????????????

I guess it's never to early to start thinking about it. I really enjoyed the flash mob event on the day of the SCC last year. If May 14, 15 seems like a good weekend for folks, let's plan that as the weekend for the SCC. If not, could we still do a flash mob event on the Saturday of the SCC?

What say the rest of you, how does May 14 & 15 sound for the Fifth Annual Spring Cache Challenge?

Sound good for me - at least the snow may be gone by then and it might even be warm.

The Dates are no good for us, but that's OK. We will clean up after the fact at our leisure. Way more relaxing and fun than a 24 hour challenge. Same outcome at the end of it all.

Hey Tom, is it that weekend, or is it Friday and Saturdays are usually working times for you? Sure would like to figure out a way to make one of these events work for you guys one of these times.

It's funny, Jenn and I were talking this past weekend of ways to really change things up with the SCC this year, so you never know...

Everyone, when you respond to this thread, in addition to dates, please post what you like (or would like changed) about the SCC.

I like the later date, gives us more time to put out caches, and hopefully warmer weather for the event!

Not a bad choice of a weekend. Its right before the long weekend so more people tend to be free.
