Pathtag Pickup
« on: December 29, 2009, 12:30:07 PM »
The Norwest Ontario Geocacher's Pub Night event GC22C8N is at the Madhouse on Jan 16th, 2010 at 7:00pm.
Those that have ordered pathtags (I don't have them yet but they have been shipped) can pick them up at the event or email me to make other arrangements.  The tags come to $1.20/tag.  I will reserve the number of tags ordered for each cacher but if you have decided to take less tags; let me know so that they can be made available to other members.

Here is what I have on reserve:
BASK-15; Jleecollins-20; phillipie99-20; Wandering_Man-20; shroomAzoom-20; BP76Mr-10-20?; hunter-killer-33; Mechman-30; Ragbag-20; Rxtwo-20; ChrisDom-?whatever is left?

For the people in Marathon who can not get to this event, I can brought back for them or we can wait until the next event on Jan 23/10 near Marathon.

I can give up 10 if someone is looking for some.  Are they all going to registered to you Chrisdom (on pathtags.com)?  or can we register our own?

The tag has gone under my name (for payment and delivery purposes); but the map for tracking is set to public and when you get your tags just type in the serial number and the # you have  for trading.  Everything should work the same except re-ordering will have to be done through me or I can transfer the tag to another member.

Is there any way we can make these pathtags our own?
I can't offer trade to anyone - unless they are looking for NWOG tag.

I just heard on the news at lunch (driving back from a certain micro in a pine tree) that there was a convenience store hold-up on Bay Street on Saturday night. Something about the would be robber using a steak knife. Perhaps someone from the Madhouse realized they had forgot their wallet and just popped over for some cache. (Ha, do you ever do that? Spell "cash" "cache?" I do it all the time.) Anyway, perhaps that is what we were watching the other day at the Pubnight.

Mechman, I looked into it.
The reply was:  go into "My Collection" and find the tags you wish to make available for trade.  You will see a field for "extras for trading".  If you wish to make some of any tag available for trading, set that number to how many to make available.

Then you would need to go to the gallery and browse.  Since these are not your tags, you can't offer them directly to others, but instead must "wishlist" the tags you really like from the gallery.  When you do this, the owner of that tag will get a notice and then can look at any tags you have and if there is something they like - they can make an offer for their tag for one of yours set as available to trade.  If the owner decides to take a pass, then anyone in the world who has an extra of the tag you want can choose to fulfill your wish.

Wishlist fulfillments can take a little while, but it ensures you can wishlist the tags you want and the person on the other end chooses what they want from whatever you have available so it makes a trade go much more smoothly.

If you would rather trade (instead of using the wishlist);  I can pass the tag onto your account.

Made my first trade today - got a path tag from someone in Kenora who is a member of NWOG - Canadian Wild Flower!  Thanks - it was a pretty easy event....my collection is now up to 4!  Hahaha!!!
