I suppose that we could use 30 or so, and distribute them as we travel.

So far, I have an order for 250 tags which will (after exchange) run to aprox $1.20/ tag.  Still waiting on a colourized logo from sAz before I order.

Are you going to order any extras for late comers or people who want more?

If we're not too late, could you put us down for 20 pathtags.

Jim, I was thinking of rounding whatever number I get to the nearest fifty.  I don't really want to get stuck with more than I need.  Plus we can always reorder.

I won't be submitting an order until December (and when sAz gets me a colourized logo!!)

Hey Chris, put us down for 20. If you're close to a threshold, we'll probably take more, they're cheap and a great promo item. Hate to question it, but perhaps a pathtag might be a good "purchase/promo/project/product" for NWOG this year. As in, instead of a new coin this year? I'm attaching an image of the t-shirt logo (which seems to be the preferred version of the logo these days, from my observations) with colours in the quadrants, a la gc.com, as you asked for, Chris. If this hits the spot, I'll email you the Illustrator file.

Looks great sAz, before I submit an order (300 tags) does anyone have suggestions for changes?  Any other members interested in coins?

I will cover the cost now and have a event when the tags show up.  There will be at least 50 extra for those that decide on more.

After looking into things, it will be easier to order under my account and just make the tag location map viewable to the public.  I will post the web address to access the map.
Here is a sample of a Pathtag map

I'm always interested in coins, but if we decided as a group not to bother I understand that too.

The pathtag looks good.

Yeah, I was just putting it out there. I think doing a coin last year was a big undertaking for our group. The pathtag is a bit easier, but still requires a bit of a financial commitment, and broadens our focus (which means dilutes it.) :) Never the less, I think coins are great and I'd love a new one too! So, whatever.

As far as the pathtag goes, I just checked out the requirements for designing a pathtag, and that hole is pretty darn big. :) It's eating up a bunch of the design, so it will have to be tweaked. Also, the colour requires ridges, so I'll have to send you guys an updated version of what it might look like with colour.

Finally, I know you don't see many of them on the pathtag site (and you don't see many coins done this way either) but colour isn't mandatory. Pathtags don't allow gradients of depth like a coin, but they do make some nice looking non-coloured coins. Check out this tag for an example. Allow me to suggest what that might look like for us as well.

So, here we have three options, two in colour (with the black raised edge to contain colour) and one with just raised metal (white is high, grey is low, black is the hole, and the outer grey ring is the edge, not a lowered edge.) We could do the name/URL in black raised metal to make it stand out (I think.) Thoughts?

Thanks for the artwork; I'm not that good with the arts programs so glad you took it to the next level.  I like the colour tag best; it catches the eye. It is a big hole but either location works for me.   Maybe a poll is needed for this one?

Of course we need a poll! It's up there, vote on!

Oh, and keep in mind, we can do the tag in silver, nickle, copper or gold metal.

sAz; read the fine print, $0.10 extra for any colour tag but silver.
