NWOG Pathtag
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:38:55 PM »
Are you always looking for geoswag to drop in a cache?  Planning a trip this summer and want to promote NWOG?

I would like to get some NWOG pathtags made up this winter.  I propose that we use shroomAzooms logo (but maybe add some colours; like blue for Lake Superior ;)).   Most of you have at least one pathtag (WWFM VI).  These are not trackable on geocaching.com but are very cheap ($1/tag).
Investers could open a joint Norwest Geocachers account at pathtag.com to find out where these coins end up.  The tags are usually kept by the finder and their location is logged in and visible on a map (but only on the owners account).   If you find a tag and log it you will see the origin of the tag designer.

The starter package is $99 for the minting and 50 tags with additional tags in allotments of 100 for $0.90/tag. Shipping is $13.00 for 300 or less and $30.00 for > 300.

Who is interested?

(This is not meant to replace the geocoin for this year :) )

sAz, since you have the template for the logo could you work on a colour version?
I do think that the NWOG logo makes the most sense for the first pathtag.

As long as members reply before the order, I think that we could sell in groups of 10 tags (approx $10.00) minimum.  That way more members can get involved.  (I plan on proceeding either way).

Would there be interest in a Custom Vanity Serial Number (7-characters ) on the back of the pathtag for an extra $20 Fee?

Is there any avantage to the custom vanity number? Or is it just something to personalize the tag?

Oh and I'm in for 20.

There is no real advantage to a custom number, I just thought I would throw it out there incase.  Could be NWOG001.

Unless I see more orders or orders for larger amounts the price of the tag could run $1.40/tag.  I am adding the $50.00 minting cost into the price; so the more we buy the less it is per tag.

Change mine to 20

Another question:

Could the tags be reordered at any point if more requests come in after the initial order?

Yeah, they will hold onto the stamp for three years and we can get reprints.  See Pathtag.com for prices.
