City Hall Puzzle Correction
« on: August 28, 2009, 11:28:49 AM »
I am sooooo sorry. The minutes were way wrong. They should be:
North 48° 22.xxx
West 89° 14.xxx

So, the correct puzzle is:
North 48° 22.(Thunder Bay Transit - Oliver + Syndicate)
West 89° 14.(Thunder Bay Hydro - McVicar Creek + Algoma)

I figured that part out and I think that I was 1st on the scene, but could not find the cache.  I had a good 10 minutes of searching before ChrisDom showed up....but I was under a time crunch, and had to be back home, so I left him on his own, after about 5 minutes of searching together.  I

Just a warning - I did notice some needles in the area behind a certain piece of equipment in the area...be careful.

I guess the rain must be messing with the satellites again as I was bouncing all over the place looking for this one.  Never found it - but neither did Chrisdom or Pepsi(?).  Will try again on a clearer day.

I know what else it means.....Shroom's math might be off!  Sorry I missed the party, but I had to get back to home and play Dad. :-)  Glad to hear that I was not the only DNF this morning!

Nope, checked the math, it's good. It was just the integer portion of the minutes that was off. Again, my apologies.

And yeah, it'll be hard to get a good fix back there, and yeah, this might be my best hide of the series. And yeah, there's still bonus $$$ for FTF, STF, TTF. :P

Well folks, it's been found. Congratulations to the Pepsis for the FTF and the bonus of $30! There are still two more bonuses for STF and TTF! Who'll be next!

As an aside, the Pepsis are the first to find ALL the GeoMonopoly caches, which means that they are the first to "win" GeoMonopoly. But unlike some games, there isn't just one winner of GeoMonopoly. Everyone who finds all the GeoMonopoly caches before next Friday will be winners. I'm hoping to do something special for the winners, but you'll have to wait to see what that is. :)

Okay, the City Hall cache is back in action at new coordinates. Check out the cache listing for the whole adjusted puzzle (or add .056 to the North coords and .008 to the West coords.)
