WWFM VI - Nov. 14, 2009
« on: October 19, 2009, 04:17:02 PM »
After last spring's successful World Wide Flash Mob, I wanted to see another one happen in Thunder Bay.  I checked with the flash mob guru, JLeeCollins; and since he may be out of town on Nov. 14, 2009, I deciced to host the event.
So look for a WWFM listing sometime this week; as a special bonus, this one has a theme that will have those muggles wondering ???.

This one has a theme that has me wondering!

But I'm sure it will be a good time.

I will be doing my best to see if I can get to the event - will depend on what is happening at the time and where I will be.

Just remember it is only a 15 minutes event - so getting a short break (1/2 hr) from work is potentially doable, not so if one are coming from out of town.

The location of the WWFM VI is outside the Hotio; posting of the event has been delayed because I mentioned the history of the Hotio and Groundspeak felt I was advertising a commercial operation.  So I had to remove mention of the Hotio's history...too bad!

What we need to do is to select one person that shows up at the event for everyone to take a mad dash to, to took pictures of them for about 2-3 minutes,  then spot another person - take the mad dash - take picture for 2-3 minutes and them move on to the next one, etc., etc.

That should really make the muggles wonder what we are doing.

Maybe at the same time, yell out that persons's geocaching name a multitude of times - he or she can act like a celebirty or bask in the glory for the 2 minutes.

or something crazy like that

Today, I put a note on the logs for "CBB" by "Q and A".

"Would it be possible to reactivate this cache for next Saturday (Nov. 14), so the geocachers that have not found it can go for it after or before the WWFM VI event?"
