So, the GeoMonopoly stats on the main page are now totally up-to-date (for the first time in weeks!) It's a close race at the top with only $20 separating the top three teams, and with the really big money properties coming out now, I think the game is too close to call!  8)

Remember, that having the most money isn't what qualifies you for a sole victory in this game. Anyone who finds all the GeoMonopoly caches wins the game! So, I doubt noone has found today's new caches. Are you just holding off on logging them as you try to get other cacher's hopes up in being FTF?  :D

For us, we both work so usually won't post until latter in the day, I believe the same thing for Chris. If we can, we we post ASAP when we find a cache so as not to give false hope to someone. Sometimes that is just not possible.

Well the last time we ran out of caches, Killer asked the same question. I mentioned cooking and cleaning perhaps ?......that did not go well. LOL.  lots out there, and the new cluster of 8 caches at Lappe are a good challenge.

I think we should all petition Darren to hide some more geomonopoly caches and keep this puppy going into September  ;D

I'm glad you guys are enjoying GeoMonopoly. I did entertain the idea of extending the game as you guys are suggesting, but I think I'm just going to let it run it's course as is.

I am working on plans for another caching game to run over the winter, so maybe there'll be a game running in the summer and winter (when we're not working on cache challenges.)

When is the official end to the game as it stands right now? Are we going to get a chance to collect rent for a few weeks to see how things add up? I'm only wondering because whomever wins the final properties won't get a chance at rent unless there is a few weeks left in the game after they are awarded.

I heard bribery works

Patch, I see your name in the list every week and I'm wondering when the random draw is going to hit you too! The law of averages says you'll probably get a property soon and there is a slight weight in your favour. Just trust that I'm being impartial and that MS Excel is choosing the property winners. :)

To address WM's question, the last two "real" properties come out on the 21st of August and are awarded on the 27th, the game is over on September 3rd, so there is one week to collect rent on those properties while folks scramble to get the last caches they need in order to qualify as "Winners" of the GeoMonopoly game. The cache is published on the 28th, but it won't be awarded as a property.

It would be nice to have them since I am passing through Thunder Bay from Winnipeg on the way to Marathon for a few days.  I just got the 3 geo ones that I hadn't found yet - would be nice to get the next 2 while I am here

Interesting since he had the ones from 2 weeks ago out at about 5:00 am
