TBs and Geocoins
« on: May 18, 2009, 04:32:18 PM »
It was great to see all the new Geocachers at the event this spring.  ;D  Just a word of caching etiquette; if you take a travel bug or geocoin, please log them so the owners (yes, they are owned by somebody) know the location.  I see several travel bugs have not been logged at geocaching.com from the Spring Cache Challenge 2009 and the WWFM V - Revenge of the Caboose events.   Some of the (activated) geocoins that I have set to travel have also been taken from the caches but not logged. >:(
Please do not take these travelers if you do not intend to log them and move them on.  If you need help on how to log them; please ask.

I agree.

I put most of these TB's and coins into the event after retrieving them from caches the previous 2 weeks., so would like to see them being logged and moved on also..

I wanted them into the events so everyone could experience that part of events also.

We have to agree, some people are not aware that they are dealing with other peoples property some worth 10 to 30 dollars but it is the memories of the trackable that cannot be replaced.. Come on, if you are not responsible enough to take the time to log someone's property, then do not take it. Log your find and leave. We have one that was taken from Beauty and the beast cache (paid in full) a cross with memories to the owner, and has not been logged. I feel for the owner and feel responsible for it"s demise here in Thunder Bay.I would hate for this town to be  known as the place were your trackables will soon go missing.
